About the role
Engineering Manager for the Web Platform Team, driving the development of a scalable application with global reach. You will lead and grow the teams responsible for maintaining our Dashlane web extension, used by millions worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Foster a culture of ownership and accountability within your team as the business and product complexity grows rapidly.
- Support the growth and development of your direct reports as managers, leaders, engineers, and teammates.
- Recruit engineering managers and software engineers, and contribute to Dashlane’s visibility within the tech community in Portugal.
- Empower teams by providing the tools they need to work efficiently and independently.
- Lead initiatives to improve systems and processes in alignment with the company’s mission.
- Enhance the platform’s Developer Experience and integrate improvements into the Platform roadmap.
- Collaborate with teams of engineers, product managers, and customer support agents in a friendly and multicultural environment.
- Manage a distributed team across France and Lisbon.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering and 1+ years of experience in management.
- 1+ years of experience working in a platform team.
- Proficiency in English.
- Javascript/Typescript experience.
- Comfortable in documenting and leveraging RFCs and ADRs.
- Experience with a company of similar size to Dashlane (100-500 employees) during a scaling phase.
- Proven experience working in a distributed team across various time zones.
- You have a BS in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Management, or similar field.
