As a Head of Engineering, you will:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow the engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Create a strategy to ensure the attraction and retention of great talent to build a high performance team
  • Collaborate with the CTO to define and implement engineering strategies that align with the company’s vision and objectives.
  • Oversee the development lifecycle of our health tech solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Work closely with Product team to translate business needs into robust, scalable, and secure technical solutions.
  • Ensure the engineering team’s work aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements specific to healthcare technology.
  • Mentor and develop team members, including conducting performance reviews, setting objectives, and supporting career growth and opportunities.
  • Manage resource allocation and project prioritisation, ensuring efficient use of team capacity.
  • Drive technical decisions and be accountable for the architectural choices and technical debt.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in coding, testing, and maintenance and ensure documentation is well managed.
  • Champion an agile and DevOps culture, promoting automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices.
  • Act as a key stakeholder in cross-functional teams, collaborating with other departments to achieve broader company goals.


To be considered for this role, here are the skills we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience as an Engineering Lead/Manager or similar role, preferably in a Scale-up company;
  • Experience managing Engineering Teams with 8-20 people;
  • Software development background;
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written;
  • Analytical skills to evaluate information carefully
  • Communication skills for the team management role and contact with stakeholders;
  • Focus on detail skills in order to prevent major problems;
  • Organizational skills for keeping track of different processes simultaneously (budgets, employees, and schedules)
